Studio Projects

This page highlights a selection of brand and product photography projects—spanning studio shoots, seasonal campaigns, and lifestyle storytelling. From pre-production planning and trend research to on-site art direction and cross-team collaboration, each project reflects a balance of creative vision and brand strategy. Together, these images capture a combination of authentic, raw emotion and aspirational product spaces that drive engagement and/or sales across all consumer and community touchpoints.

Autism Society: Portrait Photography

Role: On-site art direction, pre and post-production planning, scheduling, direction, and vendor communication.

Organizational Goals: Grow the organization’s photography assets and collect videography content.

Photoshoot Goals: Capture the diverse needs, emotions, and experiences of the Autism community, particularly focused on individuals with increased supports, including individuals who are non-speaking, use AAC, and have 24/7 direct care. The goal was to illustrate the wide range of diversity across the Autism spectrum and to celebrate the unique qualities of Autistic individuals as they express their authentic selves.

Photoshoot Details: The on-site team included two photographers, two videographers, the studio team, volunteers from the San Diego affiliate, and members from the national team to create a safe, sensory-friendly space to support Autistic individuals and their families. Leading up to the shoot, national team members engaged with participants to ensure that they felt comfortable and supported throughout the entire experience. Participants were encouraged to bring day-of supports, including caregivers, family, friends, AAC devices, headphones, service animals, sensory toys, and more. This allowed the team to craft a photoshoot experience that centered on safety, approachability, and authenticity.

1 day | 17 participants | Connected with 60+ community members

Final Assets: 250+ images, 2 PSA-style videos (:15s and :30s), and b-roll.

testimonial

“I struggle a lot with controlling my body, especially if I'm a little bit nervous or even excited. The photoshoot was a great example. You were all so welcoming and kind. I could feel your acceptance and understanding in your eyes and your smiles. Thank you.”

— Evan, Self-Advocate, Photoshoot Participant

testimonial

“As a person with Autism and my other challenges - it's not everyday that people ask me the kind of questions you all did at the photoshoot. I loved being asked the particular question about my hopes for the future. I really loved being part of something that will definitely make an impact on others.”
